2024 Kid’s Day at PMHS: A Day of Fun and Furry Friends!

Saturday, May 11th, 2024,  Pope Memorial Humane Society hosted our annual Kid’s Day event in honor of National Be Kind to Animals Week.

To say everyone had a great time is an understatement! Outside everyone had fun with the sidewalk chalk, bubbles, cornhole, lambs, rabbits, puppies, and more! Inside, we made animal-themed bookmarks – shoutout to the Thomaston Public Library, practiced being a vet, made blankets for foster kittens, made flowers for mom for Mother’s Day, made bird feeders, created artwork to help get animals adopted, enjoyed snacks from Shepard Auto Group and Shepard Storage, and so much more!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate being kind to animals, and enjoyed an afternoon of celebrating and giving back! We’re already looking forward to next year!
