Please Help Us Help Arizona

It was the last week of August and we received a panicked phone call from a Rockland resident. She found a kitten on the side of the road that appeared to have been thrown from a car window.

The staff at Pope Memorial Humane Society told her to bring the kitten to the shelter. The kitten (Arizona) had a massive upper respiratory infection, was anemic from being so flea-ridden, and had an obvious leg injury.

Arizona is young and has had a rough start. The thing is, it was like she realized she is now in loving and caring hands at Pope Memorial Humane Society. The cat staff at PMHS has described her as the absolute sweetest kitten. She is going to make it. It will be a long road with a fair amount of medical bills but Arizona the kitten will make it.
