We Need Your Help More Than Ever

Orphaned kittens are coming into Pope Memorial Humane Society almost daily. Often, these kittens are so young they need to be bottle-fed. KMR is vital to bottle-fed kittens getting the proper nutrients they need to grow big and strong. Canned cat food is made into a slurry to transition bottle babies to wet/dry food. And we do not want to run out – and while we like a good costume and lots of candy, we are terrified of running out of (KMR) Kitten Milk Replacement and canned cat food! That is not the kind of trick we want.

Donations of goods are a quarter of last year’s (and who can blame anyone-it’s not much fun to drop them at the front door when you can’t come in and say hi to the cute cats and dogs.) But we need your help more than ever.

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter’s front door any day between 9 am and 5 pm. If you want to have something shipped to PMHS via FedEx or UPS, please use 25 Buttermilk Lane, Thomaston, ME 04861, as the shipping address.

If you can donate Kitten Milk Replacement or poultry flavored pate style canned cat food, it will fill so many bellies at PMHS. If you’re not able to donate, might you share this request? Every person we reach helps the local homeless pets in our care at Pope Memorial Humane Society.
