Lost, Found and Looking: Remembering animals this holiday season

It is that time of year when we naturally think of others — how are our friends and families doing during these times? What can we do to remind them they are cared for and in our thoughts? Do our neighbors have enough food? Is anyone feeling blue heading into winter?

If animals are important to you — and something tells me if you are reading this they might be — why not send a little something to make sure dogs and cats here are fed, safe and cared for? Donations pay for around 80 percent of operating expenses — keeping animals warm and safe, and making sure there are caring hands to provide for their needs. No national organizations give money to the shelter, it is up to us, our community, to make sure our homeless and strays feel love and care this season. Blynken is a medium sized doggo with a nice personality. At 40 pounds, he is the right size for a medium-active family. This three-year-old mixed-breed is a bit shy when you first meet him, but warms up quickly. He likes to play, and even knows some basic commands.
