PMHS Art Wall – New Exhibition

Pope Memorial Humane Society is thrilled to announce the newest exhibition of artwork is now being displayed on the Art Wall in the lobby of the shelter. The current show, featuring pieces by Marjorie Strauss, is on display and available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Pope Memorial Humane Society.

Though Strauss has worked as a graphic designer for many years, her art training has been as a painter, with pastels being a focus, along with clay sculpture. The works on display are primarily pastel, some on velour paper — giving the soft medium an even softer feel. A few small oil paintings and prints are included as well.

Pope Memorial Humane Society is currently open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. We encourage our community to visit the shelter and see Marjorie’s artwork and all the adoptable animals. If you are interested in exhibiting your work on the PMHS Art Wall, please email art@popehumane.org.

The mission of Pope Memorial Humane Society is to ensure the compassionate care, treatment, and placement of companion animals in transition and to enrich the lives of pets and people in our community.
