Celebrating a Record-Breaking Year for the PMHS Pet Angel Tree!
Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHS) thanks the community for making the 7th Annual Pet Angel Tree the most successful year yet. Our community’s unwavering care and support have left us deeply moved and profoundly grateful.
This year, community members came together like never before to ensure that every animal under PMHS’s care had at least one special gift beneath the Pet Angel Tree. The generosity shown by our supporters was extraordinary, making a tangible difference in the lives of homeless pets. Each donation, no matter the size, played a crucial role in meeting the unique needs of the animals at PMHS.
While some gifts may have seemed unconventional at first glance, every item contributed was vital to the well-being of our shelter animals. For example, pet-safe sidewalk salt ensures dogs like Cedar can enjoy winter walks with protected paws. Rabbits at PMHS are thriving thanks to the donations of pine shavings and rabbit food. Kittens are happy and thriving with plenty of kitten food. Plus, all the copy paper allows our team to print adoption contracts and medical records to finalize adoptions and send animals to loving homes! These thoughtful contributions ensure the animals’ comfort and happiness while they await their forever homes.
This year’s Pet Angel Tree provided for over 300 animals in PMHS’s care, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. These supplies are essential for addressing the immediate needs of the animals in our care as we head into the new year. Your kindness makes a difference in the lives of homeless pets, and we endlessly appreciate your continued support.
We also want to extend a special thank you to the local businesses that hosted satellite Pet Angel Trees: Ruckus Donuts, Laurel’s Dolce Vita, The Samoset, and Affinity Nutrition. Your partnership made this year’s event even bigger and better. Thank you for championing our cause and helping us make a difference.
You’ve shown what a compassionate and caring community can accomplish. From all of us at PMHS and every wagging tail, purring cat, and happy hop, thank you for making the 7th Annual Pet Angel Tree a resounding success.
