Dilly Bar Seeks Summer Days with You
This week’s Lost, Found and Looking is from the desk of Pope Memorial Humane Society’s Development Director, Chrys deLorimier.
This lovely gentleman (Dilly, photo above) came in as a stray from Beechwood Street in Thomaston. He’s already a staff favorite for his sunny disposition and sweet, calm personality. When asked, he said he is a fan of the Red Sox and is so glad they’ve been winning lately. What is on his wish list? A sunbeam of his own to lie in and an unlimited supply of treats.
Sophie (at left) is full of personality. She has a bit of sass to go with a fun, inquisitive attitude. Staff are wondering if there might be a little Siamese in her genealogy because of these traits. This might help explain her posh tastes. When asked what she is looking for, she simply said “adoration and pampering, dahling.”
If interested in Dilly, Sophie or anyone else, fill out the online application at PopeHumane.org. Staff know the cats’ likes and preferences and are excellent matchmakers. Feel free to call and check in a few business days later so we know just who you are looking for. We can set up an appointment so the kitties can interview you.
Did you know we are on the cusp of kitten season? Foster homes are filling up with pregnant mommas and wiggly babies. To honor their arrival and gather needed supplies, we are having a Drive-Through Kitten Shower! This event will be ten days long from April 22-May 1 and will be held at the shelter.
Top needs to help the little fuzzballs are: dry kitten chow, kitten milk replacement (“KMR”), canned pate kitten food (non-seafood flavor) and sandwich-size baggies.
Loyal Biscuit Company is having some great specials on canned and dry kitten food. To order, email heidi@loyalbiscuit.com, they accept PayPal and will even deliver purchases to the shelter with your name on it!
Thank you to our community for taking care of the animals who enrich our lives so much. We appreciate you!
