Kittens are Almost Here, But Don’t Forget the Others
The latest Lost, Found and Looking column from the desk of Events Coordinator Kasey Bielecki:
Have you adopted from Pope Memorial Humane Society? Do you have stories of your adopted pets that you love to share with friends and family? How about photos? What we want you to do is share those stories and pictures with us!
The Pope Memorial Humane Society online community loves to see adoption updates. These joy-filled updates always bring smiles to our faces and highlight the mission of the shelter. Your adoption success stories help animals get adopted into loving homes.
Did you adopt an adult cat or a senior dog? Your experience will highlight the joy of adopting an older animal. Did you bring home a new puppy or kitten? How about a rabbit or guinea pig? We love all your adoption stories!
If you would like to share your tales and photos, email them to events@popehumane.org.
If you’ve followed PMHS, you’ve probably heard us mention kitten season a time or two over the past few weeks. It’s here, and a lot of people are looking to adopt kittens. Give it another month or so, and there will be many kittens old enough to be adopted.
But don’t forget about the adult animals still looking for homes. Have you met Plum? Plum, the cat, at 5 1/2 years old, with a permanent scuff on her nose, Plum keeps getting overlooked.
Or Pooey, the cat, at six years old, is set in her ways, meaning she is not a fan of other cats, but she loves one-on-one attention and will make a great addition to someone’s home.
How about Rocky, the dog? At a little over seven years old and 90 pounds, he fancies himself a lap dog.
As always, if you’re even thinking about adopting, we highly recommend filling out the online adoption application HERE on our website. Filling out the application does not commit you to anything, but once you’re approved, it allows our adoption counselors to give you a call once what you’re looking for becomes available.
If you adopt from another rescue or shelter, that’s okay! Don’t miss out on the perfect pet for your home because you didn’t fill out the application.
Wish list: Canned cat food, cleaning supplies, canned dog food, small paper plates, hand soap and gift cards to local businesses. Thank you.
