Lost, Found, and Looking
Theresa Gargan, Shelter Manager at Pope Memorial Humane Society, introduces Jazzy and Blue.
This week’s pet picks, Blue and Jazzy, are ready and waiting at the shelter for their new families. We love having them around, but nothing takes the place of a real home. You could make this spring their time for a new beginning.
Jazzy is a petite, one-year-old Calico. She has beautiful markings and a personality to match. Jazzy enjoys the company of other cats, is good with children and would like a home with another cat who likes to sing. She can be found hanging out with the other cats in the Pet of Day Room where she loves to dart out the door and explore other places in the shelter. Jazzy is the perfect balance of sweet and sassy all wrapped up in a classic Calico coat.
In search of a well-rounded canine friend? You need to meet Blue, our 5-year-old Shepherd/Chow mix. Blue loves being with her people and would be perfect for an active retiree. She loves to go for walks, play with other dogs and then have a good cuddle session. One of her favorite things at the shelter is having someone chase her around the play yard as she stays just out of reach. Blue encompasses everything you could want in a best friend.
Visit our website to submit an application and get pre-approved to adopt and meet all of our residents in search of homes. If you already have an approved application, contact us at 594-2200 to make an appointment to meet your new best friend.
Save the date. Our annual Cleanup and Cookout is happening on Saturday, May 21 from 9 am to noon. Come on over and help us spruce things up around the shelter. Check out our Facebook page or website for more details.
Wish list needs this week include paper towels (the more the merrier), Kitten Chow and canned cat food (poultry flavored, pate style preferred), and Fabuloso floor cleaner.
