Medomak Valley 5/6 Girls’ Basketball Team Scores Big for Homeless Pets

The Medomak Valley 5/6 grade girls’ basketball team recently took their talents beyond the court to make a huge difference for homeless pets! These incredible young athletes hosted a shoot-a-thon fundraiser, raising an impressive $1,000 to support Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHS).

Twelve players participated in the event, demonstrating their basketball skills and dedication to making a difference. After covering the cost of their personalized shooting shirts, the team used $600 of their funds to purchase essential supplies for the shelter—items that directly impact the daily care and comfort of the animals at PMHS. But their generosity didn’t stop there! They donated the remaining $400 to ensure that pets in need receive food, shelter, and vital medical care.

The team’s kindness is already making a difference, providing much-needed resources for the animals who rely on PMHS for a second chance. Their dedication to their sport and community is inspiring, proving that teamwork and compassion go hand in hand.

We are beyond grateful for the Medomak Valley 5/6 girls’ basketball team and their supporters. Their hard work, big hearts, and commitment to helping shelter pets remind us all of the power of giving back.

To the Prock Marine Team—you are true champions for animals in need! Thank you for your generosity, enthusiasm, and dedication to making a difference. We are so lucky to have you on our team!
