Short Month, Big Impact: PMHS Celebrates 49 Adoptions in February

Happy March! With a new month upon us, it’s time to celebrate the incredible adoptions at Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHS) in February. Despite being the shortest month of the year—and with PMHS closing for a full week to complete some much-needed projects and deep cleaning—49 animals still found their forever homes!

February was filled with adoption stories, from kittens to dogs, tiny hamsters and guinea pigs, and even long-term resident Scarlett O’Hare-ah. Each of these animals now has a second chance at a happy life, all thanks to the individuals and families who opened their hearts and homes.

PMHS is grateful for the unwavering support of our community. Whether you adopted, shared our posts, donated, or simply cheered from the sidelines, your kindness made a difference. The joy of seeing these animals transition from shelter to loving homes is a testament to the power of our community and your compassion.

As we step into March, we look forward to helping even more animals find their perfect match. Thank you for standing by us and for making happy endings possible. Here’s to another month of love, hope, and finding forever homes!
