Support Homeless Pets Through Art: Jim Dugan’s Work Now at PMHS
Local artists have played a vital role in supporting Pope Memorial Humane Society for decades. The Art for the Animals auction helped secure funding to purchase the land where the shelter stands today and continued as an annual fundraiser for over twenty years. Honoring that legacy, the PMHS Art Wall provides a space for artists to showcase their work while supporting the shelter’s mission to care for animals in need.
Pope Memorial Humane Society is excited to present its latest Art Wall exhibition, featuring the photography of Jim Dugan. Now on display in the shelter’s lobby, this collection captures the beauty of Midcoast Maine and is available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting PMHS.
Jim Dugan, a commercial and fine art photographer, has called Rockland home since 1992. His diverse portfolio includes still life, real estate, aerial drone photography, and video. Each summer, he shares his expertise by teaching photography aboard the schooner Mary Day out of Camden. A regular visitor to the Rockland Breakwater, Jim draws inspiration from his daily walks along the iconic landmark—many of the images in this show reflect those moments.
You can explore more of Jim’s work at JimDugan.com.
We invite the community to stop by the shelter, enjoy Jim’s stunning photography, and meet the adoptable animals looking for homes. PMHS is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
