The Sherman Fund – Why it Exists, What it Does and How You Can Help

2020 brought a lot of blegh but also a lot of good. Sherman and his siblings were found at the edges of a brushfire with flames licking at their fur. Paralyzed with fear, they didn’t have much time left. The good, no, great part of this story? A community member rushed to save the stray kittens. They brought Sherman and his littermates to Pope Memorial Humane Society to be cared for and rehabilitated before they found their forever families!

Sherman and his siblings inspired PMHS to create the Sherman Medical Fund.

The Sherman Medical Fund was created to help hundreds of cats and dogs who come to the shelter needing medical attention. Like Sherman, many would not have survived without help. Donors can help raise the $80k+ needed to help animals and know every cent will go to help kittens, cats, dogs, and puppies survive and get adopted into loving homes.

You can donate to the Sherman Fund through our Facebook page (where there is no service fee) or via our website’s Donation Page

*Sherman and his siblings have since been adopted. They are thriving in their homes, and we couldn’t be any happier for them!
