Tippa’s Back!

On December 21st, we posted about a stray cat that was with her finder in Rockland. A community member saw the post and thought it might be her missing cat, Tippa. She contacted the shelter and described her missing cat and some distinguishing features, a short tail and a black toe that stuck out.

Upon contacting the finder, it became clear that the stray cat was indeed Tippa. Tippa’s finder was heartbroken. See, she and her husband were mourning the loss of their kitty, who passed away in March. They had fallen for Tippa but also had a feeling someone was missing this charming girl.

On Christmas Eve, Priscilla (the finder) and Sheila (the cat’s owner) met up at Pope Memorial Humane Society. Sheila was thrilled to be reunited with Tippa; she was greatly missed.

At this point, the staff knew they had to find the perfect kitty match for Priscilla. Priscilla ended up falling for sisters Molly and Sprinkles. It was an excellent way to end the year, that was 2020. One cat reunited with her family, and two sisters adopted together into a very loving home.

The magic of being part of a wonderful, caring, and kind community!
